The following tables show the price increase of the metals
used to produce transformers: think of it!
Price of copper has increased by 125% in 1 ½ years!
Other materials used in the production of welders are steel and brass ( a mix of copper and zinc ).
Well, they have also experienced huge price increases. Steel price increased by 90% in 2005 and zinc had a price increase by 213% from 01/01/2005 to30/05/2006.
